Feels Like Christmas
Written by John Galantini
Its snowing in the windows of the high street stores I’m hearing all the Seasonal songs They’re selling wrapping paper everywhere I look December’s here it will not be long
Lions dressed as Snowmen are collecting change Appliances are all of the rage And Everybody’s counting the days And it feels like Christmas
The tree is up, the lights on, the fridge is full it’s feeling kind of cosy in here There’s walnuts on the table in wooden bowl Nostalgia’s all I’m wanting this year
I'm flicking through the pages of the Radio Times Circling the films I like Reserving Its Wonderful Life And it feels like Christmas!
Where were you in ’92? That was me in 93! And I recall in 94 Watching Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
The dinner’s in the oven and the guests are here We’ve opened up a bottle of red wine The house is warm, the heatings on; we’re letting go and having such a wonderful time.
I must admit, I feel like a bit like Chevy Chase When I see the state of the place Or maybe I’m just showing my age But it feels like Christmas
I’ll think about the houses that I knew as a child The faces of the people I miss The moments we remember are the ones they’re in I thank them all for giving me this
Our little boy is laying down a railway line For him its such a magical time It’s his day but memories are mine and it feels like Christmas
